In particular, Marras reproduced the iconic photograph of the wolf howling among the snowflakes taken by Daniel Cox on some garments. The photo was found on Google and reproduced by Antonio Marras without asking Cox&#8217;s authorization and without mentioning his name.<br \/>\nThe Italian judges in Milan have therefore followed an approach already expressed by other Italian Courts which, implicitly referring to the criterion of the &#8220;worthiness&#8221; of the work, refers to meta-legal criteria and in particular to the theory that a creation can be defined &#8220;art&#8221; only if the art world defines it as such.<br \/>\nThe Court therefore prevented Marras from reproducing, marketing or further distributing the photograph in any form whatsoever, and ordered him to pay damages and legal costs.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Voucher 3i<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Italian Ministry of Economic Development has adopted the <a href=\"https:\/\/uibm.mise.gov.it\/images\/Decreti\/Decreto_Voucher_3I_maggio_2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">executive decree<\/a> establishing the opening of the deadline for applying for the &#8220;Voucher 3i &#8211; Investing in innovation&#8221;.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/pga-ip.com\/2020\/05\/21\/english-voucher-3i-incentivi-per-startup-innovative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">You can find further information here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>EUIPO: new indications for the post-COVID phase<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In response to the exceptional circumstances created by the Covid-19 outbreak, the Executive Director of the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) issued Decision No EX-20-3 and the subsequent Decision No EX-20-4, both concerning the extension of time limits in proceedings before the Office.<br \/>\nHowever, with effect from 18 May 2020, those extensions ceased to apply. EUIPO therefore issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/euipo.europa.eu\/ohimportal\/it\/news?p_p_id=csnews_WAR_csnewsportlet&amp;p_p_lifecycle=0&amp;p_p_state=normal&amp;p_p_mode=view&amp;p_p_col_id=column-1&amp;p_p_col_count=2&amp;journalId=5769761&amp;journalRelatedId=manual\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">guidance note<\/a> on time limits after the end of the extension period.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>EBA: Patentability of plants and animals<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On 14 May 2020, the Enlarged Board of Appeal (EBA), the highest level of judicial authority of the European Patent Office (EPO), issued its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epo.org\/law-practice\/case-law-appeals\/pdf\/g190003ex1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opinion G 3\/19 (Peper)<\/a> on the patentability of plants and animals.<br \/>\nAfter the decision of 5 December 2018 (<a href=\"http:\/\/documents.epo.org\/projects\/babylon\/eponet.nsf\/0\/426B74FD32463ACEC1258398003EA3F4\/$File\/T_1063-18_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Case T 1063\/18<\/a>), the EPO&#8217;s attention was again drawn to the issue of the patentability of plants and animals obtained exclusively by an essentially biological process.
