The opportunity to apply for the SME Fund 2023<\/a> is still open for small and medium-sized enterprises based in the European Union. The fund offers refunds of up to 75% of the official application fees for trademarks, designs, patents, and plant varieties, directly credited to the bank account.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Who can participate<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The fund is dedicated to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises that meet at least two of the following three criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Sole proprietors and self-employed professionals with VAT registration can also participate.<\/p>\n

Refund values<\/strong><\/h5>\n
Trademarks and Designs<\/strong><\/h6>\n

– 75% refund of the official application fees for EU trademarks, designs, and models.<\/p>\n

– 75% refund of the official application fees for national and regional trademarks, designs, and models.<\/p>\n

– 50% refund of the official application fees for trademarks, designs, and models outside the EU.<\/p>\n

Maximum refund amount: Euro 1,000.00.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Patents<\/strong><\/h6>\n

– 75% refund of the official patent pre-grant (filing, search, and examination), grant, and publication fees for national protection in an EU Member State.<\/p>\n

– 75% refund of the official filing and search fees for European patents filed at EPO. All other fees for a European patent are excluded.<\/p>\n

Maximum refund amount: Euro 1,500.00.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Community Plant Variety<\/strong><\/h6>\n

– 50% refund of the official online application fee at EU level.<\/p>\n

Maximum refund amount: Euro 225.00.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note that only activities carried out after accessing the fund are eligible for refunds. Therefore, fees related to titles already filed and\/or granted are not eligible.<\/p>\n
