3D printed prototypes

by PGA
PGA S.p.A. provides a prototyping service through professional 3D printers. The new proposal joins the wide range of activities provided by the Firm, helping to extend the offer to our clients.

The advantages of this activity are multiple. For first, prototyping inventions allows our clients to better evaluate their inventions, going beyond the plain design of the same. Moreover, the prototyping activities provided internally by our Firm will allow to realize inventions in full confidentiality and without the need to prepare appropriate confidentiality agreements that would be required in case of cooperation with third parties not obliged, as PGA, to maintain the professional secrecy.

As said, the prototyping service, is provided by the Firm through the use of professional top tier 3D printers, equipped with the main technologies, FFF and DLP. The prototypes, using FFF technology (Fused Filament Fabrication), are produced by the printer model “Sharebot NG” and “Sharebot XXL” with maximum print volumes of 250x200x200 mm and 700x250x200 mm.

Instead, the prototyping service with DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology, is achieved by the printer model “Sharebot Voyager”. This technology allows the creation of small products (maximum print volume: 54x96x100 mm) with a high definition printing, between 20-100 microns, by the polymerization of a photosensitive resin as a result of UV irradiation.
