Nicholas Caputo

Nicholas holds a degree in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology from the Politecnico di Milano, is a qualified Italian and European Patent Attorney and since 2025 is based at the Milan office of PGA.

He has developed substantial experience in intellectual property matters, having served both as an in-house advisor and as a patent attorney in private practice.

Nicholas’ practice mainly includes drafting and prosecution of patent applications, advising on design matters, conducting prior art and patentability searches, IP mapping and patent watches.
He is also regularly engaged in preparing legal opinions concerning patent validity, freedom to operate (FTO), and infringement assessment.
