Paolo Santonicola is an Italian and European patent attorney working in PGA Milan office as of June 1, 2016. After he graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from “Università Politecnica delle Marche” and until joining PGA, Paolo worked in the in-house IP Department of a multinational Company operating in the white goods industry, acting as Patent Counsel with managing responsibilities for the Company IP Department and patent portfolio.

Paolo matured a remarkable experience in the IP professional practice, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications, managing opposition proceedings before the EPO, and advising on patentability and freedom-to-operate issues. Mr. Santonicola is specialized in the following technological areas: mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, automation and communication protocols. Paolo is a known speaker on IP matters, and offered speeches on occasion of several Industrial Property seminars. Furthermore, Paolo has been member of the Examining Board in two sessions of the Italian patent attorney qualifying examination.
